2013 Grand Crawler Peter Brown

After a long career in architecture and urban planning, plus two terms on Houston City Council, Peter Brown could have easily rode off into the sunset. But instead, he has chosen to walk into the future by establishing BetterHouston, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating walkable neighborhoods in our city built around mixed-use developments and world-class mass transit. To further these goals, he has adopted the persona of Pedestrian Pete, an intrepid adventurer who travels all over Houston to highlight the best & worst examples of our city’s infrastructure. As a champion for urban living and an enemy of sprawl, Peter Brown embraces and enables Montrose, the most walkable neighborhood in Houston. And because we are one of Houston’s most walkable events, the Montrose Crawl is proud to honor Pedestrian Pete as our 2013 Grand Crawler!
